About Me

Welcome to my blog! I like to refer to it as a "travel blog" even though my travelling isn't nearly as extensive as I'd like it to be.

I was born and raised in a minuscule town in West Virginia, USA (not Virginia) and graduated from Glenville State College in 2008 with a useless Bachelor's degree in English. I got married to my Canadian, Al, the June after graduation and off we moved to Canada.

I've always had an itch for travel, and I'm talking anywhere and everywhere. I have been interested in lands afar since middle school and so simply moving to Canada wasn't cutting it. After two years there, a friend of ours (who was living in Japan) mentioned his school needed a couple to come teach. I brought it up to Al, he quit his white collar job with Exxon and we moved to the other side of the world.

We lived in Kagawa, Japan for a year with the intentions of returning for a second, however, a myriad of weird circumstances pointed us to Korea. We survived Busan for nearly three years and to this day, I could still call it a second home.

Although Nashville is currently home (with a mortgage to prove it), this blog will remain dedicated to my travels, despite the unfortunate infrequency.
